My son gave me that album for my birthday. It's so good it's scary!
That reminds me of a topic that I never got around to posting...When it Rains it Pours - Bruce Cockburn, Shelburne Falls, Oct 21; Son Volt, Boston, Oct 23; RT, Somerville Theatre, Oct 24. Geez, it's the Holy Trinity, the Triple Crown! Only reason I'm not seeing RT is all the good seats were gone by the time I learned of the show.
Neil Young - Prairie Wind. And I think Saturday I shall invest in another copy of Remain In Light to replace my old battered cassette version, courtesy of the Tal's e-mails!

If you like their other albums, you'll also like Twin Cinema. It's very similar sounding--which is entirely to their credit. Good stuff. I could listen to "Jackie, Dressed in Cobras" and "The Bleeding Heart Show" all day long and never tire of them.
Purchases this week:
Riviera, Blue Ribbon Brothers American Music EP
Amos Lee, Self-titled
Neil Young, Harvest
Jay Farrar, Terroir Blues
yeah, calexico, the brmc's a lot different than the last 2 records, although i really liked their first one. this new one though is leaning a lot more towards bob dylan than garage rock. pretty good stuff.
the new frank black's pretty good too. buncha great nashville musicians got together to record with him. it's hit or miss with the songs though.
From what I have heard the Frank Black album may be worth a shot too and is that new BRMC album all acoustic? The couple tracks I have heard have been great and I was never that big a fan of their stuff, electric wise.
