Yessongs — Yes (all the prog one could need)
Nocturne — Siouxsie and the Banshees (scream for me, baby)
Stone, Steel and Bright Lights — Jay Farrar (this is supposed to be a Jay Farrar message board, after all)
Live Between Us — The Tragically Hip (canehdian, eh)
Live at Leeds — The Who (raw power)
Different Stages — Rush (better sound quality that Rush in Rio, even has a bonus disc from 79)
Europe '72 — Grateful Dead (OK, I'll give in to peer pressure)
Unplugged — Neil Young (it's still live, just quieter)
King Crimson had a live lp but i dont remember it being that good. Ill take Red or Larks tongue in aspic over that anyday.
If you wanna go progressive jeez didnt yes have a 1 to 1 ration with Studio to Live lps? My favorite was - The Songs go on forever but they all sound like shit

I may have been a little harsh on U2 the other day.
(I like the first side of The Joshua Tree and a couple of tracks on Achtung Baby, but that's about it).
Actually, f*ck it- I stand by what I said!
No, I think you were way too kind the other day
My favorites are:
Live At The Fillmore - The Allman Brothers
All live albums with AC/DC (AC/DC Live was the album that really got me interested in music and made me start to play guitar. If You Want Blood is excellent and so is the stuff in the Bonfire boxset)
Alchemy - Dire Straits (I used to listen to this a lot a long time ago. Might have been one of the first albums I ever bought)
I also like the live album Free did. Maybe not the best album ever but I like how it ends and fades into this great mellow studio song called Where I Belong (or something like that)
