Re: 26Live & New Single!
This live collection from the last tour sounds amazing. The band is hot and Jay
rolls through his tunes, soulful and sincere, with that voice only he has. I don’t think
I’ve heard a better live set in this full band format except maaaybe SV1 - ACL comes
close.
These Are the Times has me giggling like a little boi waiting for his new toi to arrive
from Amazon.

What a lineup and set list! Fall 2019 in SoCal was gold.
Wonder where this was recorded and when vinyl might come?
New Jay sounds necessary...

Release more shows Jay! I'll buy every fucking one of them! New tune is FANTASTIC!

Release more live shows Jay. I'll buy every fucking one of them. I'll buy anything that Jay/Son Volt puts their name on. I've got plenty of boots from the first incarnation of SV. And I still play them to this day.

New song is fire
Love how strong Jay’s voice, goes up high at points and sounds great
Lyrics so relevant
Can’t wait for another album
Release more live shows, but bring the cost down a bit. If you release 10$ shows on bandcamp, I bet you’ll sell more.

Got an answer from Mark Patterson on Twitter: That’s everybody on it, bass & drums recorded remotely in Austin, Spencer on keys & steel in NYC and the rest in STL.

Agreed. Smoking. Also cool to discover just how recently he wrote some of the new material:
101 years, pandemic blues again
Life in lockdown
Don't let your hope, your driving force
Drag on the ground
