Pls tell me that does not mean no Volt for a long while...don't get me wrong, I love the solo Jay, Gob Iron, etc., but I need to see SV a few times a year to keep me sane.
Dear Jay, please do not put SV on the shelf for too long.

At this stage, isn't Son Volt essentially Jay Farrar and a revolving door of musicians?

But I found this - Jay live in the studio in Iowa before the first show of this tour. No Gary on this one. Just classic Jay with guitar and harmonica. Nice performances of Dust of Daylight and Dynamite. http://krui.wordpress.com/2010/11/08/ja ... dio-11310/
This was a nice find. Jay solo with acoustic and harp, strong vocals and enunciation.

Listened to this live today - really good stuff with Gary Hunt. Wish I could get to one of these shows. Just tried to see if the show was archived on their website. Couldn't find it.

Nice performances of Dust of Daylight and Dynamite. And a really good interview too with a somewhat nervous interviewer - not so much nervous as just extremely excited to be interviewing Jay Farrar. Kind of reminded me of The Chris Farley Show bit on Saturday Night Live. Jay was very talkative, seemed relaxed, and was pretty funny too.
