Jay Farrar solo tour... Set list Question ?

I also laid a card at Jay's feet. It said "is Jeff really gay?". Jay flipped me a bird and stormed off stage. I heard he is now writing a song about cards, encores,sexual preferences, and stuff like that.

One time, I genuflected and did the sign of the cross before laying at Jay's feet a piece of parchment containing the title song of Uncle Tupelo's most commercially successful song... Long Cut. To this day, I have no idea why he didn't oblige.

I saw him play this past summer at the Old Rock House in STL. The setlist looks almost identical to the recent ones, with a coulpe exeptions. I enjoy when bands are a little more loosey-goosey with their sets, but any Jay set is a good set.

One of my all time favorites. I could be wrong but, I don't think he has played it since the Wide Swing Tremolo tour, 1998-99.

i once placed a card at jay's feet requesting his shoe size. with a slight nod and subtle wink he launched into a riveting spoken word rendition of jodel. he truly is the master of opacity.

The song was Fannin Street, it is a Tom Waits song. Great song especially with Jay singing it.
(ok it was me, i grabbed the set list after the show.)

That might get it in a set in a tour or two. Maybe. Jay seems to rehearse the tunes he'll play before the run of shows and stick with it.

I saw the show in Evanston last week, it was Great !
Interesting how Jay threw the set list behind him before the encores...
I new every song in the set, but one of the encores has left me puzzled...
