The new Wilco album is the best thing they've put out since YHF. I love it. I can't wait to see them at Farm Aid.

It's funny how people appear bigger on stage and then when they get down to take a leek they appear smaller. Same thing happened to me with Ryan Adams when he was with Whiskeytown. I didn't peek..no sir,

My buddy took a leak next to Jeff after a Wilco show in Austin in '99....He swears he didnt take a peek, but I bet he's full of shit.

I think they're both incredible artist's. I have my favorite but in the end they both have similar and vastly different talents. I would like to think that the world may be a better place because of their efforts. Like most people I do compare them from time to time and it shouldn't be what determines their credibility or success. Each man with a band should be looked at through their own efforts at this point (they've been making
rekkids for a long time now and very good rekkids for the most part) but again I digress. I think Jay's dick is bigger than Jeff's...anyone know this for certain???...not that it makes a bit of difference.

1. song writing
2. commercial success
3. what toilet paper tweedy uses vs. farrar
4. who can slam dunk
5. what kind of car and house each has
6. who has a bigger dick
7. who looks better in flannel
8. who was more popular in Belleville highschool

Dude that is funny.

By the way IMHO .... W(TA) is OK, but ACD has some real emotion and thought provoking lyrics.

I like both Wilco and Son Volt, but as the years go by I simply relate more to Farrar.

I understand that. I am also a fan of UT. Not trying to stir the pot here, just posing a rhetorical question. I ask myself this question all the time - why do I feel compelled to compare one to another.

there are many many more comparisons simply because Farrar and
Tweedy were in a band together. A band that had some influence and maybe a band that really meant something to a few folks.

Except for the first two Wilco albums, I have yet to come across one that grabs my attention before a dozen spins or so. The two most recent CDs are still an improvement over A Ghost Is Born, which has songs that sound far better live. I like the albums from both Son Volt and Wilco, and, aside from the Uncle Tupelo days, I don't think these two bands have that much in common in their songwriting structure and style.

i like the new wilco album. not as much as the older stuff, but its an improvement from sky blue sky.

one wing is exceptional, wilco (the song) is fun enough and bull black nova is cool.

on the other hand deeper down, i'll fight and the song about high school are clunkers imo.

i just don't feel much connection with the new wilco material. just seems like a different form of pop music to me, like the indy version of the jonas brothers if that makes any sense.

i feel more life in jukebox of steel than the entire wilco album.
