Oh you're not even remotely old Tom! :P
I didn't say I was old, just the oldest member here. There's a difference.

Welcome to the big top, sonny. Don't let cranky old sods like Cal bring you down.
Maybe "long time fan" was the wrong phrasing... long time by my standards though, when compared to other music I've since gotten into.

don't want to get into any fights with a first post.
Sorry, you have pissed me off by reminding me how old I am. Now, welcome to the board and kiss my ass. :D

Hey, I'm a long time fan, but new to these boards. I first got into Farrar in 2003 when I was eleven years old and my dad played me "Anodyne," which my cousin had given him as a gift. I've since gotten into anything Jay Farrar related. I've never heard a voice I like as much as his!

Anyway, I finally decided to post here to let Grifterwithafunnylittleha that this recording is just superb. Great quality, and what a great show! With Spencer on pedal steel, and Masterson sounding better than ever, I would argue that this is the best lineup of musicians Jay has ever worked with. I better be careful what I say though... don't want to get into any fights with a first post.

Great job Grifterwithafunnylittleha.

thanks, grifter. I have jumped straight to Tear Stained Eye as a test run...and it is excellent! Much thanks... I don't care what the "dood" said, it is spot on.
