I second the Dan Zanes. Good music, period. Also the Kaysettes - Leroy Bach, Jeff Tweedy and Jay Bennett - show from the Highwater in Chicago on 09/11/99 has kid and kid-friendly songs. Excellent.

What about some Asylun Street Spankers? The last album was their kids album "Mommy Says No!"

Grisman and Garcia singing old tyme kids songs. It's called "not for kids only" and the title fits. Great music - Shady Grove vibe.

The Car Song - Woody or Bruce version

City of New Orleans - Arlo

Yellow Submarine (warning, only put this song on if you are willing to listen to it a MINIMUM of 10 consecutive times - at least that's been my experience)

Black Rider - Tom Waits
