If you have not seen it I would recommend the DVD, Fallen Angel. Apparently, GP was instrumental in drafting the musical palate of the album. In return, Keith and the boys reciprocated by influencing GP in other ways.
Gram had a big impact on the Stones. His influence can be heard on 'Let It Bleed' and 'Sticky Fingers,' too. I read somewhere that Gram was around and contributing when "Dead Flowers" was written, but that he didn't want/get a credit. Don't know if there's any truth in that or not.
Plus the inspirartion for Wild Horses.

Then I started getting into his Stones records and taking them into my room. So one Friday Pop came home with my very own copy of Exile and bestowed upon me one of the truly great rock-n-roll records of all time. I think I was 10. Thanks Pop!

So there. I am completely and utterly indifferent. And the sky isn't falling, either! ;)
I will say Loving Cup, the gutsy Ventalator Blues and Soul Survivor are some of my favorites. Not much for Rip that joint tho.

Hey stranger. Going to the slaughter, I mean game, tonight?
Nope...Mr. Stewart's bachelor party. Look for the Devils to lose by 15.
At least 15. Oh well as a season ticket holder I'll be there. Bachelor party sounds like more fun...

Just like me. I go thru periods where I love the Stones and periods where I never ever play them.
Understandable, but think if you had never heard Trace. Or even worse, heard it and thought it sucked.

I love Exile but I'd have to say my favorite Stones album is Beggars Banquet. Jigsaw Puzzle, Salt of the Earth - there's some classics on that album.
