My vote goes for Jay and Toots and the Maytals.....Pure genius!

Some other Jay duets I'd like to see:

Jay and Rakim
Jay and The J.B.'s

But Seriously.....

Jay and Mark Everett
Jay and Neko Case
Jay and Townes Van Zandt (Wouldn't that be nice).

Jay Farrar and Cee-Lo Green. Seriously. That guy's got mad pipes, and seems to enjoy coloring outside the lines, so to speak.

BTW, the Star Wars get up is pure genius. And the hilarity of Boba Fett on keys and Chewbacca on drums must not go unnoticed.

Personally, I like the Jay/Kelly Willis collaboration. I remember buying the "Red Hot & Bothered" compilation just because I saw it had Jay's name on it (at the time I didn't know who KW was), and then hearing "Rex's Blues" completely blew me away. That's still one of the great duets.

jay is an elitist when it comes to singing with most other people. after dealing with tweedy so long i think he just gave up trying. tift merrit opened up for for son volt only one date this past tour, and he didnt even ask her to sing one song. if nothing else just as a thanks for the brad rice connection. pissed me off.

How about Michael Jackson and an Eight year old boy?
These days Paul acts like an 8 year old boy!

I was always hoping for Jay and Wendy O Williams, but then she killed herself. Guess I will just have to settle for Gob Iron.

I'm such a suck up. And don't even say it Cal, cuz you know I'm right. ;)
Well OBVIOUSLY Jay should duet with me. I thought that was a given? The rest is just, ya know - if he has the time and inclination to do other duets after the mindblowing duet records he’s BOUND to make with me (he’d probably have to be BOUND, but don’t think that hasn’t crossed my mind a time or two). And what would be the point of any post-Devonie dueting, honestly? We'll be like Captain and Tennille or Sonny and Cher, or perhaps something far less horrible than the two examples provided...
Elton John and Kiki Dee
Don Henley and Stevie Nicks
Kid Rock and Cheryl Crow
