Is this thing still on??? There is absolutely no mention of it in Get Out in the STL Post Dispatch. Nice promotional work SoCo.

I visited the site and noticed they had a laundry list of rules. Is this event really that strict? I was hoping that a recording of this show would turn up but it seems that audio equipment is prohibited.

Not gonna lie...I was really really really excited about this concert as I love Big Star (and obviously The Volt)....but I was rather annoyed to discover that it is a 21+ event. I guess that makes sense...but thanks a lot SoCo...

Sorry...felt like I needed to do that.

I emailed Taste of StL yesterday and they replied this morning and told me nothing. They said that the lineup will be announced later this month and to keep checing their web site for updated info. The problem for me is we're trying to make work/travel plans and it's tough to do when there's nothing concrete yet.

It is an outdoor concert in downtown St. Louis. It is located on the Gateway Mall approximately 1/2 mile from the riverfront.

Southern Comfort Music Experience???

Post by lobrase »

I would also like more information and clarification.

The little information I have seen is that the show is Sunday, 10/01/06.
The lineup includes: Big Star, Son Volt and The Legendary Shack Shakers.
Is the location at the Gateway Mall on the River?
Is this a free show under the Arch?

What is the Southern Comfort Music Experience?

I saw the Neville Brothers at this last year. It's right in the heart of Downtown..

Great Time....
