i was ready, but there was more than one. actually, there was about 5 of them. If somebody would have bitch-slapped me in the face as hard as I hit that dude, there would have been a fight. For some reason, he backed down...I wonder why... :)
Heh. I must say it was a heroic fight put out by m'boys. 8)

At least I was able to enjoy myself...most of the time. Crazy fucking crowd! Great fucking show!

Well perhaps I was wrong about the goat. If he's still got it, he has trimmed it up substantially cause from where I sat he certainly looked clean shaven. I just picked up the DVD and the Portland show was definatly more rockin. I think the sound is about the same but the physical energy Brad Rice brings to the stage is incredible. The Orange Peel DVD looks just like the first Portland show last fall and like when I saw Jay solo a couple years ago. This last show Jay was way more rokken, jumpin' around and stuff. And RUP had to be twice as long this time than on the 1st leg. Brad Rice will just walk over to Jay and start rokkin with him and Jay can't resist he has to join in.

Also, did anybody else see the ruckus at the front of the crowd, stage left? In the first couple rows of people, there were some meatheads moshing and being complete assholes. I did some retaliatory shoving, which means there were some bodies flying.

This one dude kept hitting me in the back and talking shit, so I had to turn around and bitch slap him in the face three times. Did anybody see that? it was during the DBT's, about 1/3 the way in. I left and went to the back after that, because if the riot was going to happen, it should be at the back of the place, not in front of the band.

Heheh

Best show I've ever seen them play!

I had to elbow a guy 10-12 times, one of the times to the ground to prevent him from knocking us over. Felt sorry for Linwood when I found out he left during the DBT set... which was REALLY good even tho I spent most of the time being pissed off at some fuckers (whom would've gotten thrown out in 9 outta 10 venues) Son Volt stayed at the same place as us, and the DBT's came over for some food, so it was pretty good.

Hmmmmm.... now I feel even more clueless! Is "Real Ultimate Power" a code name for Chickamauga? Some other song?[/quote]

Somone created a Jay Farrar tribute where his name was essentially swapped in wherever "ninja" appears. So Jay Farrar totally flips out and kills people, etc.

Someone here may have a link to that page, but this is the set up.

I feel like such a newbie -- what is RUP? (I did stay for DBT on May 5, my first exposure to them, had a great time. But SV was why I was there)

Thanks.

Is this true? Have we been duped? If so, Nickmart, you know there's gonna be hell to pay. We don't take goatee talk lightly 'round these parts.
