Damaged, how about Bushmills? If you like it sweet, give that a shot.

I gotta say...Bourbon list or Irish whiskey list.
Should be one or the other, not a mix.
But i'm from Kentucky and i'm one of those folks that gets aggravated when someone calls Jack Daniels "bourbon".
;)

And yes...no Maker's Mark? You must like the bourbons that are less sweet? I personally have a sweet tooth so i'm biased. ;)

I recommend the following:

1. A.H. Hirsch (smooth smokey but still sneaks a bite. Warning: expensive)
2. Maker's Mark (well balanced but understandably too sweet for some)
3. Bulleit Bourbon (i haven't compared it to Knob Creek yet)

A whiskey list without Makers Mark is like an Americana list without Uncle Tupelo.

are there any sour mash, grain, corn or tater folks with a palette for this junk? I'm looking for a list of top bottles to try.

My lust...eh list.
1. Bookers - simple and good neat
2. Blantans - complicated and smooth
3. Knob Creek - just above Bullet
4. Jameson 14 - OOOOOH Irish whiskey
5. Elijah Craig - they could kill if it weren't for a bad cork design. there's a hint of vanilla which is interesting.
6. Jameson 10 - ooooh
7. Jim beam black - Bookers dirty cousin
8. Evan williams - better than jack or jim white
9. Jameson
10. OLD OVERHOLT OR WILD TURKEY AND COKE
