The Classic Albums covering the second album was on VH1 Classic this week. Beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time. Ricky was only a few years away from dying when it was filmed, and Levon was pre-cancer. Talk about catching lightning in a bottle. Robbie even came across pretty well in this doc, though his segments in the studio were obviously filmed seperately from the ones with Levon and John Simon. Highly recommended! So I'm watching the movie, then walk in to get a drink from the kitchen, when I hear, in the background, the beginning of this song and start to sing...

"I sincerely miss those heavy metal bands...."

After the intro, it's not similar at all, but the intro is pretty damn close.

Speaking of The Band and drummers - Helm is the man.
