Sweet.
Thanks all, with a special nod to Creston for that info that I did not know...in particular, the fact that you will not make any money off of my purchase of those songs.

Good call.
Ringenberg is a local boy. He came to town a couple years (?) back and did two shows. The first, a solo show at a little coffee house outside of town. The second, a "Farmer Jason" show at a coffee shop here in town. I was lucky enough to catch both. The first kicked ass. The second kicked ass and was attended by a whole bunch of shorter, younger people who appeared to love it!

The Mamas and the Papas -OR- John Denver would be my guess(es).
I love Peter, Paul & Mary's version.

Hmmm...
Me thinks some Buddy Holly for sure.
And then Neil's Only Love Can Break Your Heart--hard lessons need to be learned young.
And I second Woody's Car Song.

Link Wray - Run Chicken Run!
edit, my kid seems to enjoy the Velvet Underground, so maybe that's something to think about, eh....
Kids are actually better at recognizing the nuances in sound and rythm at the tender age of 6 months than most adults

Don't miss out on The Bottle Let Me Down from Bloodshot Records. Awesome compilation of all kid-friendly material with a few gems thrown in that I listen to sans anklebiters. Good stuff.

Now you've done it. I have that stupid song...or at least that one line, stuck in my head!
