I wish that was in an adult size. I am serious. That is my one minor SV gripe, I haven't yet seen a shirt that really grabs me. The whale is cool. The new adult one is the best so far, though.
My SV merch gripe is that they use shite t-shirts that don't fit well at all. They really need to switch to Hanes Beefy T's or Fruit of the Loom. I'm not wasting my money until that changes.
The site says the new ones are Gildan preshrunk. Those are the good heavy cotton ones much better than fruit of the loom.

I got some really CUTE Uncle Tupelo shirts made by some guy on the old Postcard listserv. He offered up long-sleeve or short-sleeve T's with UT album covers on the front, and song lists from the respective albums on the back. We could even pick what color we wanted. All for less than $20 a piece. I snapped up three of them. I wear them sparingly, as I probably will never see a dealie-o like that again.

Several years ago I bought an Uncle Tupelo t-shirt on ebay (very similar to the black one they sell at the UT store, except instead of "Still Feel Gone" it says "Bottle Fermented Rock") thinking that it would be really cool to wear to Wilco and Son Volt shows as I likely would be the only one wearing it.

Man was I wrong. I havent been to a Jay or Jeff show yet in which someone else hasnt been wearing the same shirt. Someone told me that it was a mass produced promo shirt that was made concurrently with the release of the Anthology. I might as well have bought it at Target.

I also come from the school of thought that it is a rock concert fashion faux paux to wear a concert t-shrit of the same band that you are seeing on that particular night. (i.e. I would never wear a Son Volt shirt to a Son Volt show). I also find it to be of poor taste to wear a Wilco shirt to a Son Volt show, or vice versa. I dont know why I feel this way but I just do. I guess it's just all part of my neurotic musical self-being.

I'll 2nd the VERY POOR selection of stuff at the VIC show. I was ready to part with some $$ but nothing in my size.

Jay/Son Volt always have great shirts. However, they only had a handful at the Chicago show last night and none of them were bigger than a large. Not great planning for trying to move product.
