There's one out there w/ Doc and Bill Monroe. It's a live disc from a bluegrass festival. It's pretty good. Doc has always been my favorite.

I'm partial to Remembering Merle, a tribute album to Doc's son. Enjoy

Everything.

As long as you stay away from the obvious.

Agreed, on the Vanguard.

Any of the Vanguard recordings from the `60s are great. The self titled one is a favorite of mine.

"Memories" is a good intro album for Doc Watson, if you're not familiar at all... can't go wrong with that one. Pop it in for a perk-up on a dreary day. 8)

I know that this is Jay's board, but I trust your musical opinions. I'm making a Christmas list, and want to get my first Doc Watson cd. Where do I start?!?
