Despite that fact that Blue Rodeo was playing the turnout was decent. I can see Blue Rodeo 9 million times a year, they have saturated the canadian market to an all new level. Is there any fair, fest , or city these guys havent played? LoL. Good band.

Non ethe less I am glad I was up front and center for SV, I wish they came through Ottawa more often. We need more bands like this coming through here.

Follow-Up.

The same writer wrote this about Son Volt's performance in Ottawa:

Son Volt, headed by Jay Farrar who co-founded now-defunct alt-country pioneers Uncle Tupelo with Wilco's Jeff Tweedy, closed out the night at the Black Sheep Stage with a first-rate, well-attended show.

I'm from Ottawa and that was a totally retarded article by someone who has no clue.

Jay and Son Volt just put on a show for the ages here tonight.

I think it was a fair article...even though the subject matter is tired, I always like reading these for some reason. I think it helps new fans appreciate how fucking good these guys were together and how much better they are doing their own thing.

I've seen worse than this one I suppose. I like how the writer (deliberately?) points to the crassness of comparison (Jeff wins popularity, Jay wins productivity) but still feels the need to make the comparison the point of the article. I suppose that thebold story is just too dramatic to pass up.
