Not just in MS. It's alive and well in Texas as well.

It always cracked me up that a prissy girlfriend of mine had a DU sticker on her Explorer. She couldn't even tell me what DU's platform was. I think she just wanted to attract a Fratty McFrat for her MRS. degree.

Yeah, alot of your most avid hunters (the redneck type) were sporting the Ducks Unlimited gear, knowing if they had to chance to knock a duck out of the air they would.

I have a question about Bonnaroo, do you think there will be a chance of a The Word reunion? (North Mississippi Allstars, Robert Randolph, and John Medeski.)

When did DU become cool, as a kid my grandmother was a sponsor of DU and there wasn't anything cool about it at all, I guess its just a MS frat thing.
Being from Canada I do not know too much about white supremacy movement and what they wear.

Though I do know that 'Ducks Unlimited' is a conservationist group, which does not go far enough for the environment. Conservationist are mainly hunters and fishermen who feel they can use the environment to their advantage and try and conserve segments of the environment as long as it benefits their lifestyle.

Environmentalist groups like Greenpeace and Sierra Club do not feel 'Ducks Unlimited' is a environmentalist group.

Any questions about bonnaroo?

I never thought of the "Cotton" thing like that, but now that you say it, your rowdy good ol' country boy was who you would most likely see sporting that sh*t.

i always thought that the "Cotton" shirts and tags were like showing supports for the white power movement

my aunt gave me a maroon "cotton" hat and i explained the white supramecy thing and she said she thought it was showing support for Agriculture, which i'm down with since MSU is a cow college

I don't like to get into politics or religon but 98% of STATE it seems is heavy with the religous right

Actually thats not too far for me, I use to go to school in Starkville, and one of my best friends lives in Olive Branch but works in Memphis, its just another road trip. My cousin-in-law runs one of the Radiology Departments at one of the hospitals in Atlanta, the hospital that has converted most of its medical records electronically, the only hospital in the nation to be fully electronic concerning medical records.

Yeah, I'm still kicking myself for not seeing one of those Bob and Willie shows, I know I missed out. I wonder how many more years these two old cats can take of touring. It's not like they have lived the healthiest of lifestyles. :D

No, I didn't go that year, but I bet it would have been nice to hear that "Blind Willie McTell", that's one of my favorite tracks off of the Bootleg Albums. I have had the chance to see Dylan play in Jackson, MS and at the Beale ST. Music Festival.

Hey drpyurz49,

Having Dylan as your avatar and saying you've been to bonnaroo('s?) in the past, where you in attendance in 2004 when Bob Dylan was there?

If so how great was that set? When Dylan performed all those covers "Pancho and Lefty," "You Win Again," "Samson and Delilah" and "Sing Me Back Home" I was in heaven. Let alone getting my first "Blind Willie McTell."
