I like "left to his own devices" because its home recordings and you can't beat songs like "deadline" "wounded prince" and "very friendly lighthouses"

Also, "silver lake" is a good album. The songs "band camp" and "girls say" are very funny.

What do you all think of the Sweet Relief 2 collection with bands covered Vic`s songs?I like Kristin Hersh`s version of Panic Pure but some of the others are`nt too good.

my favs from what I have:

West of Rome
Silver Lake
Salesman
Drunk
Left to His Own Devices
CoBalt Blue (Really bad IMO)

Don't have his newst one, but suppose to be good.

One of the best parts of being turned on to a lot of the artist in this genre is the fact that you can find a lot of em in the used bin. I got all the above except Salesman that way.............

I mistakenly opened this thread thinking it was about Cody Chesnutt. If it was, that would have been really weird to see here.

'Little" is the only one I have...I got it when he was out with Bob Mould
in 90 or so.
I loved it.

This is all I know of Vic - and it is very poor. I picked it up because of the Widespread Panic collaboration, never head of Vic before this album.

yeah It's odd i'll go and see a band on the back of liking an lp but for some reason i rarely buy lps on the back of seeing a good live act............which Vic was most definately

that's the one you recommended to me before isn't it?
You might be right.
I remember someone asking for recommendations some time ago.
I always lean towards that one, then West of Rome, and About to Choke third. They're all very good though. :D

West Of Rome is a masterpiece in my book :)

Drunk is ok though uneven

The Salesmen And Bernadette is a collaboration with Lambchop which grows on you after awhile
