Two great bands.Dulli should have been a huge star only he seemed to get lumped in with that grunge thing just by dint of being on Sub Pop.

As Played by... and Blackberry Belle are terrific albums.I wasn't too enamoured with the covers album though.

it is the twilight singers tour from last year. they keep on releasing copies of this bootleg show on ebay. matter of fact they just released 300 more copies of it. if you go to the their website you can get more detail about it. it's going for around $30. it is a pretty good show especially at the end when former afghan members John Curley and Doug Falsetti join the band to cover some whigs material. Marcy Mays (the song - My Curse - that chick sings on Gentlemen) makes an appearance to sing it once again. anyway the song I am refering to is not Double Day but I believe it was on limited edition cd.

Easily one of the greatest albums of the '90s. Dulli rules.

I'm a huge fan of both bands. I wasn't aware of a live DVD out though. Is it of a Whigs show or the Twilight Singers? Where can I get it?

Can't really help you with the song as the lyrics don't ring a bell. Sounds like 'Double Day' though, 'cept the lyrics are different ('It was a Saturday, I came home early...').

has anybody who is a twilight singers/afghan whigs fan purchased the live dvd from the newport kentucky show? if so, I am trying to figure out the name of a particular song on it. it is not a song from the actual show but it is in the introduction part. the lyrics start out "it's friday....i'm lonely". i came to this message board because the twilight singers do not have one and i know for sure that someone here will know. any help would be great.
