Badfinger was a Beatles creation, they had to have more than one hit.
I, yes, I was the one asking around about Badfinger... ignorant of any hits they had aside from No Matter... my bad.

Looks to me like something Phil Collins penned...

Hey, Badfinger had 4 hits - "Come and Get It," "No Matter What," "Day After Day," and "Baby Blue" - so I guess that makes them a 4-Hit Wonder
And half of those hits were on the '71 release Straight Up. One of the first albums I ever got and still a favorite. I think "Perfection" is one of Badfinger's best songs and I don't think it ever made the charts.

What about Danny O'Keefe "Good Time Charlie's Got the Blues" - I love that song.

Dang! You beat me to it. Now I'm gonna have that stuck in my head for the rest of the day.

I heard one of my favorites today I hadn't heard in a looooong time: Rosewood Bitters by Michael Stanley.

Didn't he also do "'This Town" (is my town/St. Louis/alright/love her/hate her/it don't matter/you gotta stand and fight...) At least that's how I remember the words from long long ago. I think the "St. Louis" part might have been thrown in there for our benefit.

Let's Get This Show on the Road was a great song too. I guess he wasn't really a one-hit-wonder after all.

I think the Connells had a number of excellent cd. Fun and Games and Boylan Heights are highly recommended. Lot of that Jangley stuff the REM seemed to have lost about that time.
