Favorite Byrds Album

Post by johnpowell »

I am new to the forum so I'm not sure why Sean is so belligerent-is this his forum? Plus, it's not cool to take the Lord's name in vain. I think the Byrds box set is great.
I have to laugh at myself, though, because on a previous comment I meant to say that Sean's comment about the "end of discussion" was not to be taken literally.

I only like Sweetheart. Not really a Byrds fan at all - something about McGuinn and Crosby bug the crap out of me.

The 4 disc/90 song box-set "The Byrds" is a must-have!!!

A true classic!

I like Gram-for me, he can be a little too country but I love "100 Hundred Years From Now"-and I agree about wanting to hear his vocals. I lived in Winter Haven, Florida-one of his homes. I love "You Ain't Goin' Nowhere" off that album as well. I heard that they were making a movie about his life.

1. Sweetheart of the Rodeo
I'm a huge GP fan so this is my favorite but I enjoy the majority of The Byrds albums. The Legacy edition is 100% better with Gram taking the leads in the majority of songs.

My favorite Byrds album is Notorious Byrd Brothers. It has everything that made the Bryds great, except for contributions from Gene Clark.

I tell people about this album whenever people ask me my favorite albums of all time.
