Same set as Iowa City, I think, except no San Fran. I taped the show, and talked to a couple of ladies taking pics, hope to get pics.

Jay was in al black with a hat.

Gary Hunt is fucking awesome. The mandolin on Coke & Ashes, brought a tear to my eye. Highway 61 with a fiddle, just amazing.

Yesterday I pulled a old CD of Son Volt, that I had labeled Covers, it had them doing She More to be Pitied. I listend to that song a few times. When Jay played the first few notes last night, I came out of my chair!

The encore alone was worst the 2 hour drive to Louisville and the $15. Out of the Picture, She More to be Pitied, and Still be Around.

Enjoy the show tonight!

I'd be interested in hearing what people think of Jessica Lea Mayfield.
I saw her open for Justin Townes Earle in September...

Refreshingly good piece/interview. The writer lets Jay speak and doesn't ask a bunch of questions about an Uncle Tupelo reunion, etc. Thanks for posting this! Really looking forward to the Newport and Kent shows.
