regarding what was said earlier about the majority of the country voting for bush (which is questionable).
May I remind you what the majority of Americans have made YOUR top ten best selling cd's of the moment, source is billboard:
1 Hilary Duff, Most Wanted
2 Various Artists, Now 19
3 Mariah Carey, The Emancipation Of Mimi
4 The Black Eyed Peas, Monkey Business
5 Jim Jones, Harlem: Diary Of A Summer
6 Brad Paisley, Time Well Wasted
7 Young Jeezy, Let's Get It
8 Gorillaz, Demon Days
9 Kelly Clarkson, Breakaway
10 Green Day, American Idiot
Now,... does this speak very highly of the expectations of the majority of Americans?
Maybe bush is the best representation of America after all.

I posted the definitions (1) cause I was bored and (2) because I noticed the similarities in the definition of liberal and independent.
I too am a (registered) independent with liberal views. I have as little use for the democratic party as I do the republicans.
I think I posted earlier in this or some other thread about the same thing Ellie was saying, it's a big world, with a lot of folks and we aren't all going to agree. That doesn't mean we have to disagree with such hate and venom (on both sides, not just the right).

one thing i keep trying to hammer home is that there are ways to discuss politics without attacking somebody for their views. with trying to tear the person down because they might not agree with you.
i also hate it when people just quote one small part of a response.
so are you trying to say i don't know what i believe in or is it that i don't have the right to my beliefs? i don't need to attack a person i disagree with or post derogatory pictures or even try to belittle them. i will always listen to opposing views as long as they are presented with respect...yea i know its a difficult concept to understand.

(1) Blew up Iraq for no good reason
(2) Spent $250 BILLION blowing up and rebuilding Iraq
(3) Rode Bikes with Lance A
Sorry, That's all I can think of.
Seriously I think George's actions right after 9/11 and the swiftness with which the military took out the Taliban (in the country that actually had something to do with us being attacked) was commendable. Those people were harboring the people responsible for 9/11 and we went after them. everything else, including and especially Iraq is complete and total shit.
So there is one thing, that is all I can think of.

what a pathetic disappointment. this has turned into the typical liberal/conservative, red/blue, fox/cnn bamboozlement that is thrown in our face daily to distract from this president's shortcomings. Thanks Karl Rove.
I'm STILL waiting on 3 positive effects of the bush presidency that I requested in my original post. People are great at defending republicans and democrats,...but receiving some POSITIVE hard facts about this presidents work is like pulling teeth.
I'll ask again. What good has this president done? 3 things? anyone?
