Lucky you! When I make my husband listen to my stuff on the car stereo, we actually get into arguments about how much we hate each other's music.twitcher73 wrote:Lately, she's really digging the Son Volt and solo Jay stuff, Iron and Wine, and early Wilco (AM).
Over the years we've found *some* common ground, but not much: Cracker, Nickel Creek, a handful of singer/songwriters, and some local bands.

When I first met my wife she was totally into mainstream country - scarey stuff! I was into post punk emo stuff...
For our first few years we found a few common ground bands - Jimmy Eat World (Clarity era when they were still good), Pedro the Lion...
We began to discover more common ground - Johnny Cash, Red House Painters, Damien Jurado...
Lately, she's really digging the Son Volt and solo Jay stuff, Iron and Wine, and early Wilco (AM)... however, she will easily fall prey to the local top 40 station and drive me crazy with it.. and sometimes I'll still whip out old Promise Ring or June of 44 and drive her nuts...

Your significant others. What are they listening to? Is it crap?
My "better half" listens to Yngwie, Black Label Society, Dio, etc. And still stuck in the '80s, with Warrant, Poison, Motley Crue and all the rest.
Someone please help me. Are there shelters for this kind of abuse?
