First Record/Tape/CD You Ever Bought
I remember..
As a gift when I was pretty young and playing records on this Sears record player..A brand new Bob Dylan Free Wheelin' in wonderful "mono"..I've still got it. Rember buying a Kinks album and a Junior Wells/ Buddy Guy Album for ether 2 for $3 or 4 ..
My sister still has some of the 45's I had...Jumpin' Jack flash...Beatle stuff..Can't remember what year bought Revolver..That one's out by the stero.
I was never into Pre-recorded 8- tracks or cassettes... I got the vinal and taped it for the car. I rember taping the Concert for Bagledesh off the live radio...on one of these K-mart recorders..with a ultra cheap 5&dime mic..with a tiny transistor radio..

I stole most of my records from my brother, but these are the firsts I remember me actually buying:
Tape: Public Enemy - Apocalypse '91: The Enemy Strikes Black...I also bought MC Hammer's album and Anthrax's - Attack of the Killer Bees, plus a Walkman...Christmas money from dad...
CD: Faith No More - Angel Dust...I didn't have a CD player...I had to sneak into my brother's room to listen to it when he would go out surfing. Awesome record...not too long after the PE, Hammer purchases...
The first vinyl rocord I bought was a 7" by Houston band The Latch Key Kids called "Punk Does A Body Good." From there I began a sickening consumption of vinyl records reaching over 1000 between my college roommate and I.

First 8-Track- I don't know which one you would count, but I ordered four KISS tapes from Columbia House or something like it back in about 1977. KISS (first album), Destroyer, Rock n Roll Over and Love Gun.
First album- Grease Soundtrack 1978
First cassette- Men At Work Cargo 1983?
First CD- Smithereens Live EP 1989

The first LP was Boxcar Willie - forget the album name but I wanted it because it had the train engine on the front of it.
First cassette - Tom Petty, Let Me Up, I've Had Enough
First cd - Neil Young/Pearl Jam, that Merkinball ep/single thing (I wonder which home that one has wandered off to . . . . .)
