Run Runaway by Slade
Radioactive by The Firm (I saw these guys live when I was 12 - no joke)
Some Like it Hot by Power Station

one of my all time favorite songs - I Got a New Girl Now by Honeymoon Suite

Broken Wings by Mr. Mister
Mungo Jerry - In the Summertime (another personal favorite song)

another song I'm thinking of - can't remember the name of the song or the band - something like "No matter where you go, I will always be with you girl, ooh girl, want you..." 20 points if anyone can pick that one out.

My grandmother's into The Bold And The Beautiful as well. I suppose one of the great things about this one, is that you can leave on a 3-month tour, and when you get back, all that's happened is that the blonde guy did walk into the room to talk to the blonde woman. How about that?

I think The Bold And The Beutiful probably will have to share its place as the no.1 soap opera ever with Santa Barbara, Falcon Crest, and Days of our lives though. Outstanding TV-magic! Personally I'm an avid viewer of Home And Away  And I always believed Dallas to be superior to the Dynasty.

I used to watch Bold And The Beautiful. Religiously. First time I went on the road with Jay and Mark Spencer, I learned that McSpencer was into it as well.
Ah, the "backstage" mystique is blown.
No groupies at all, just a couple dudes, talkin' about soap operas.

SIDE NOTE: Jay Farrar's mystique is fully intact. He never had any idea of what we were talking about...

I'm guessing you just heard that somewhere and don't actually watch Bold and the Beautiful....

We're diggin' into the vault.....

I Don't Like Mondays - Boomtown Rats
Fly at Night - Chillawack
Rock On - David Essex
Stealin' - Uriah Heep
Movin' On - Missouri
Oh Nicole - Point Blank
Two Hangmen - Mason Proffit
Stuck in the Middle - Stealers Wheel
I Could Be Good For You - 707
Black Betty - Ram Jam

If you're from St. Louis, you heard these on Sunday Morning's K-SHE Classics. I wonder how many of these are really just "regional" one-hit-wonders. Have any of you non-St. Louisians heard most of these songs?

How 'bout "Ace", with "How Long"?

"Player", with "Baby Come Back"? (Featuring, on bass, Ron Moss, who now plays Ridge Forrester on "Bold And The Beautiful"). They MAY have had another hit, or two...

"Climax Blues Band", with "Couldn't Get It Right"?

"Aldo Nova" with "Life Is Just A Fantasy"?

"Andrew Gold" with "Lonely Boy"?

There's a million of 'em...

I just learned a great one and have been playing it all weekend (It's all Am, F & G which is just about my speed).

Greg Kihn Band - The Breakup Song (They don't write 'em like that any more)

I have no idea why that song got stuck in my head and I had to obsessively seek it out to learn but it did. I haven't heard it in years.

Billy Thorpe, 1979

That song also reminds me of Red Rider's Lunatic Fringe

Ah, Eddie And The Cruisers. "Words & Music..." That's what it's all about!

Don't know if this was a national "One Hit", but in St. Louis it sure was...

Doucette: "Mama Let That Boy Play Some Rock And Roll".
