The Cult -Love

I saw the Cult open for Billy freaking Idol.

That is nowhere near the oddest bill I ever saw though, which was SRV opening for Huey Lewis and the News...

And no...I did not stay for all of Hueys set.

I saw that tour twice. First time Queensryche opened up, second time Cult.

I remember that show very well! It was the "Electric" tour. Saw it in San Antonio at the Sunken Gardens in 88'. That's the year after Appetite For Destruction and Electric were released. I took my little brother for his first ever concert.

If memory serves, The Cult opened for this show too.
The tkt shows "Zodiac Mind Warp" as the opener. I do remember 3 bands playing that night.
The Cult must have been added to the bill later on, but yes, I'm almost 99 percent sure they opened for Guns on this bill.
I know I saw them more than once in opening slots.
Pretty sure this was one of them.

July 23, 89. Indeed Nassau Coliseum.
Remember it well. (not really:-) Ian Asterbury (spelling?) WAS a teenage favorite of mine though!

May have to head to Chicago to see them. Last time I saw them in concert was when Sonic Temple came out.
