Looking at his feedaback he has been doing this only a short time but quite a few shows have been sold. Funny thing is I would love to have a few of these....
You can report this type of thing to ebay and they might pull the auction. If the seller keeps doing it and keeps getting reported, their ebay privileges might be revoked.
Another alternative, one that I don't recommend, but I've seen, is where 2 people set up new accounts (as not to tarnish their established ID's) and bid these things up to millions of dollars, usually the seller will get the point and pull the auction on their own

Mike Justis... Look for blanks and postage methods... Look over at sharingthegroove.org they may not have any SV shows at the time...

I also see that UT and SV isnt getting ripped by mr ebay any more.. He is still ripping off U@ and Pink floyd but I dont really care about that...

All The Non-Album Tracks

Post by cowboydown »

I was in Ozone Records in OR about a month back and came across a UT CD I'd never seen before called "All The Non-Album Tracks." It had decent cover art and 22 songs (most of which I had) except a demo version of Still Be Around, Movin On from More Explosive... K-Tel Tribute and a version of Moonshiner from the Best of Mtn. Stage, Vol 7. So some smo cobbled this thing together and some how found it's way in a cd bin at a record store selling for $16.99. When I asked the clerk who gets the profit he said the store...

I'd be surprised if there is anything you can do about the ebay selling of the UT material from this person who isn't a fan.

I will not be purchasing these off Ebay as I feel this is stealing from the artist as well. My main thought was to stop this person from profiting from this.

It isn't cool to sell shows on Ebay. I would argue it is stealing for the artist.

If you want some shows, most of the time, if you ask nicely, people will help out.

Everybody was new(to trading) once, and most folks remember it.

Ask folks to do B&P's for you. You send them blanks and a postage paid return envelop, and they burn shows for you.

don't cave in... resist the temptation and don't give in to some jerk trying to make a buck on ebay.

bad voodoo will follow if you do!

Ebay - Taped shows...

Post by mcarlton »

I was looking for Faithless Street by Whiskeytown on Ebay and for what ever reason I ran across this guy SELLING UT, SV and Farrar's shows. I find this questionable at best. I even recall this topic once before here I think. How do we shut this down?
