Thin White Rope-Sack Full Of Silver

Anyone remember them? They were from California, they did several albums in the `80s and early `90s.Something like a Mark Lanegen/Grant Lee Buffalo sort of thing.I only have Sack Full Of Silver,it`s a good one.

Check out Redlands Palomino Company -- British band playing american-style roots rock -- these guys are awesome! I stumbled across them playing live in London years ago and bought their album "By the time you hear this (we'll be gone)" last year -- check out their web site and click 'music' you'll get a few tracks... first one is with a female vocal, great song, but stick around for the next track, you get a better sense of how they rock -- www.redlands.moonfruit.com. Heavy Gram Parsons and Neil Young influences, kind of a whiskeytown feel too.

i want to recommend this guy named paul cebar and the milwaukeeans. he's from milwaukee and also used to be in a band called the r and b cadets.
kinda r&b, new orleans, twang thing going and great live band to dance to.
he also has a radio show he does in milwaukee that just rocks you can find some archives at his website...

While tidying up some boxes of tapes i found a tape with no box. I decided to play it in the car on my weekend road trip. Had no idea what was on it. By god it was loud ( so loud in fact i didn't hear the fan belt explode in the car wich led to car breakdown) but on it was a gem I've not heard in years. The Band was called "FLOUR" and the song was called KICK. I have no idea how popular they were (and thus no idea if anyone has heard it before). Not sure the last time i was headbanging behind the wheel of a car (It's not as if I am 20 with long hair anymore) but last friday I was.
