Do you play on that course at 9th and Iowa?
Centennial Park - shot a +2 last week. Nice, long open course. Water Works in KC is VERY nice imo.

And you want to host an orgy?

Actually that's the beauty of teh innerweb. Not everybody, but LOTS of people feel they can be the person they'd always wanted to be or NOT the person they really are when on the 'Net. The whole anonymity thing is a creative force in and of itself.

You rock, Dev.

As some of you know from my anti-Atkins ranting, I'm a breadman. I deliver in rural western PA (although I live in eastern OH). Not glamorous, but the scenery is awesome. In my spare time I like to hike, ride my motorcycle, listen to tunes, garden and hang out here. I'm also an amature (very) photographer.

I'm sure that those of you who have been here forever know all this but it is really cool for those of us who haven't been around forever...

Jay's music really does appeal to all kinds.

and don't forget...YOU ARE ALLOWED TO TIP YOUR WAITRESS OVER 15%...IT'S NOT AGAINST THE LAW OR ANYTHING 8)
I used to be a bartender I tip 20% unless service was horrible.

GIS Analyst (Geographical Information Systems)
Basically I build flat databases behind georeferenced structure data. Our company specializes in E9-1-1 addressing and emergency services. Sometimes I even get to do field work where they send me out with a laptop and a GPS. Pretty cool eye candy there.

Outside of work I work more. I am teaching myself how to program for extra cash on the side.

I spend huge amounts of time on this board plus a few others. Mainly this one though.

I also like to ride my bike, play disc golf, play darts (I have trophies and stuff), cook, surf teh web and I LOVE to read.

Avid hockey, baseball and football fan.

I'm finishing (hopefully in December) a master's degree in film at the University of New Orleans. I have an office job there to pay the bills.

In my free time I am a screenwriter. Hoping that what I do and what I get paid to do will be the same someday in the near future.

Man I am exactly the same way. I have no problem on message boards and the like, but in person I'm as shy and withdrawn as a potty trained dog that just wet the carpet.

--- Sometimes old men pay me to rub one out in front of them ... the pay's pretty good.

--- During the week, I mop up the floor in those $1 booth's at an adult book/video store down near S. Broadway.

--- On the weekends I get to put on my 'Gimp' uniform and rent myself out for area S&M parties.

--- Once every two weeks I get paid to get a) slapped in the face or b) kicked in the groin by lonley housewives in the suburbs.

I know it's not the most glamorous ... but it pays the bills

Oh, I forgot to add “apparently LOVES to talk about herself endlessly”. I seem to do more of that here than anywhere, ever, in my life. I also strive (it seems) to hijack threads with personal image-heavy information, and write longer entries that necessary which has probably lead to my self-imposed over-exposure on this board, of which I’m considering hiatus.

First - I’m completely amused that Sam thinks I’m a “social butterfly”, as I have serious issues with social anxiety disorder. I can post on a message board all day long, but I’m horrendously withdrawn in social situations, especially if it’s folks I don’t know well. Sam and I are friends and have hung out a handful of times since we met on this here board, and I evidently have him fooled into thinking I’m not a complete loser in social situations, which is just fine by me. Yay! Trickery works.

By Day (or what I get paid for): I’ve worked in the very glamorous waste industry, and have since 1998. Started off as tech-support, application support (Help Desk) person, and now do more Sales Support stuff. Total computer-dork, but not in the fun multi-media way (like Sam and Sticky). I’d much rather do art installations. Man - that sounds like a cool gig. This job is okay. It affords me tons of slack-time, decent money and benefits, adequate vacation time for rock-show road tripping), and it’s fairly close to home. I can’t complain (but often do anyway). It’s a soul-sucking worthless job, but I busy myself with many awesome non-paying activities to keep myself sane, thinking and creative.

By Night & Non-Job: I do a lot of other stuff. I have an 11-year old, so that takes up a huge chunk of time. Write songs like a fiend, sing and play guitar almost every day. I love photography, and take lots of rock photos of red-hot rockers such as the smokin’ Jay Farrar/Son Volt, luscious Brian Henneman/Bottle Rockets and various other glam-rockers that I find worthy of my shutter-buggery, including friends in local bands (King Coal, Speedy Colt, etc…) I like rock-photos, vintage photo restoration (this is a new one) and portraits. I paint and draw, design stuff. Went to art school (scholarship); not as special as it sounds, but it was fun. I write (novel is almost done!), make stuff (jewelry or whatever), knitting is awesome (making a guitar strap for a while now, keep slacking on that). Um … I don’t know, mostly music-stuff; self-recording I guess. Apparently contributing to tributes is another of my pastimes, as I’ve done a lot of that lately. I am in a couple of bands I guess. Kind of. Honky Tonk Panda is awesome; defies description, so I’ll leave it alone. I’m also in my own thing (ponybuckle) which is just me and a guitar, but have recently recruited the very talented Martin Starr to help me with harmonies and additional guitar. This is becoming really long. Oh wait! I’m not finished talking about myself yet. Claim to fame here is that many of the photos on the headers of Jay’s website pages are mine; including the cover of Stone, Steel & Bright Lights, and the Live EP. Whoot!

/end scene. And I have even bored myself. Enjoy!
