1) Being There
2) AM
3) ST
4) YHF
5) AGIB

Combine the good and throw out the crap from YHF and AGIB and you would have a masterpiece.

A

AGIB and YHF I just don't get, though there's some excellent songs on both. A.M. and Being There are teh shit, and by teh shit I mean totally awesome!!

His solo shows are really good, too - but that wasn't the question, was it?

I suppose Category B.But I love everything they have done...from A.M. to A Ghost Is Born.I play them all fairly regularly and apart from the noodly electronic thing on AGIB I love their stuff.

Most certainly a C but then put "I Thought I Held You" from AM in there as about my favourite Wilco song.

Also, Henneman owns AM, he should get an honorary Grammy for making that album.

I guess A...

I listen to AM a lot...Being There is alright...Summerteeth was their best album...YHF was good, but not Summerteeth and AGIB bummed me out...except for the breakdown at the end of "At Least That's What You Said" it's harsh.

Take Summerteeth out of Twangers and insert Mermaid Ave discs and that's me. The rest of their stuff just doesn't do it for me.

They didn't get a grammy for AGIB did they?
yeah .. 2 of 'em
Harumph. Oh well...i guess that shows what i know about the Grammys.

Like Summerteeth, i was only impressed and excited by 3 songs from AGIB:
At Least That's What You Said,
Muzzle of Bees,
and Handshake Drugs

Hmmm...maybe a new category is needed?

"The Spaghetti-heads" (for an appreciation of 'noodling' in the studio)
1. AGIB
2. YHF
3. Summerteeth

'noodling' - vague term to define excessive manipulation of studio effects, sounds, loops, dots, foghorns, etc within the recording of an album. Often considered borderline gratuitous or musically constructive/experimental depending on the listener's opinion/appreciation.

 :D

Just joking. I know some love it and some hate it. I was surprised at how indifferent i felt about AGIB. I really wanted to like it, but just couldn't.

i guess i'm group b. i do hope this is all tongue-in-cheek, though. i know that we jay supporters get a hard time from wilco people, but i feel weird mocking one of our generation's better songwriters simply cuz i like one of his ex-bandmates' work better.

Definately Group F:

Being There & YHF are two of the best albums ever made
Summerteeth & AGIB are pretty good too
I also like A.M + The Mermaid Avenue albums are as good as any.

I'm that kinda Wilco fan

Are the numbers meant to establish the rank of the albums under each category...or are they merely a numbered list of requirements to fit in that category?

I'm gonna assume the first (although i'm confused why Being There would rank above A.M. under 'The Twangers')

I reckon I'm some weird cross between the Tweedyheads and the Bennettheads cause here's how i value the albums.

1. Yankee Hotel Foxtrot
2. Being There
3. A.M.

(somewhere sprinkled between those albums are the 3 songs of Summerteeth...She's a Jar, Shot in the Arm, and Via Chicago)

Grammywatchers....heh, heh.

I don't think I fall into any of those..

1. I think Summerteeth is one of the greatest albums ever made.
2. I love A.M. and Being There
3. YHF is ok.
4. AGIB is a turd.
