By the way, this 'Live in St. Louis' disc isn't just some recording of your standard live show. It is stark and absolutely beautiful. Just Jay with a guitar and a harmonica; Gary with a mandolin; and Justin Branum with a fiddle. Very different takes on some of the standards. It may sound strange, but I hadn't a clue how brilliant songs like "The Picture," "Down to the Wire," and "Wheels Don't Move" were until hearing them stripped down to the barest of bones here.
And Jay's voice absolutely soars above all the beautiful noise.

And here's the tracklist for '1999':
1) Flow
2) Caryatid Easy
3) Picking Up The Signal
4) Right On Through
5) Medicine Hat
6) Tear Stained Eye
7) Blind Hope
8. Windfall
9) Driving the View
10) Drown
11) Straightface
12) Ten Second News
Quite a bit different, and more extensive, than 'Artifacts'. It also says inside the front cover, "The police found the Son Volt van abandoned on the side of the interstate. All of the musical equipment was never seen again. These live tapes survived...."

I saw the SV 1999 CD upon entering the Louisville, KY show, but they were all sold out when I tried to buy one before leaving that night. They must only put a few out each night, based on a previous posting. I am happy to hear they will be available after the tour. I did pick up the JF Live in St. Louis, which is a great buy! I was thrilled to see a couple of tracks from the "One Fast Move Or I'm Gone" project.
I do not recall these two discs being available for purchase at the earlier shows I attended (Knoxville and Birmingham). Nor did I see the Artifacts and Dogtown Sessions at the two gigs at the beginning of the tour, but they were certainly available on the second leg.
Sachsen, here is the track listings for the Live in St. Louis CD:
Down to the Wire
The Picture
When the Wheels Don't Move
Barstow
Highways and Cigarettes
Big Sur
Dust of Daylight
San Francisco
Out of the Picture
No Turning Back
Dynamite
Tear Stained Eye
Windfall
Afterglow 61
Down the Highway
Still Be Around
