He was off for a week or two before the 2-week holiday break, and isn't in this week. Pre-holidays, Howard acknowledged that management told him to take some time off and get right - unclear exactly what precipitated that.
Over the holiday break he was rushed to the hospital, and Howard confirmed this morning - after the Post ran a story with ugly details - that it was a suicide attempt.
