It think Mark grew up in Vermont and has family there.

He owns the Tape Kitchen in Brooklyn and has been living there for a long time I think.

Not sure if he quit Son Volt, but he's full time with Jason Isbell now. His keys on 7 Mile Island are great, especially live.

In all seriousness, what did happen to Derry after The Search? I never heard if this was an "I quit" or "You're fired". Not that I'm missing him, just curious....
