Jay,
I am of the belief that you are sincere. If you are not, I request that you tell me via PM rather than post it as to save me the embarrassment (I do fine on my own).
Thank you in advance.

Damn it, you fiend! You are The Riddler! I don't know if I should be embarrassed or not. Wait! I just humiliated myself. Bastard!
Oh, but it's so good, Doug!
Thank you (really, I do mean it.)
something about posting came from teh STL craig'slist.
it references and advises on the subj.. just had to share.
1. Buy or borrow a decent camera if you don't have one. Cell phone pics don't cut it. If you don't have access to a camera, just say you don't have a camera and we will come over and look at it.
2. Front, back, side, closeup, is cool. Four pictures from the same position is pointless, pick the best one and post it.
3. Indoor pictures taken in the daytime with a window in the background leave the subject underexposed and, well, dark and indistinguishable.
4. When photographing shiny objects, PUT YOUR CLOTHES ON! (Hot chicks are exempt from this)
5. Most cameras have crappy built in flash and are especially useless for closeups or shiny objects. Take your stuff outside for best lighting conditions.
6. If you must photograph your item on your bed, PLEASE MAKE THE BED first. Please??? So we don't want to wonder 'where it's been'.
7. Photographs with your hot girlfriend holding the item up while wearing her bikini won't make us want to buy it any more. But we appreciate the effort. Keep 'em coming.
8. Include headstock in guitar photos so we don't have to email and ask you if your 'Fender' isn't actually a Squier, or if your Gibson isn't really an Epiphone. (as a side note, please ignore spell check, it really is spelled Squier, you can double check by looking at the headstock). a closeup of the headstock will usually tell us more than you possibly can (or want to) about the pedigree of the guitar. Some of us don't care if it's a budget line, those of us who do don't appreciate your attempt to mislead us. Why would you want to waste both our time?
9. Stock photos are a no no. We want to see what YOU are selling. If it is ten years old, a catalog picture of this year's model tells us absolutely nothing.
