Maybe "long time fan" was the wrong phrasing... long time by my standards though, when compared to other music I've since gotten into.ShuckOwens wrote:I officially feelfreight_rider wrote:Hey, I'm a long time fan,

way older.
Welcome to the big top, sonny. Don't let cranky old sods like Cal bring you down.

Hey, I'm a long time fan, but new to these boards. I first got into Farrar in 2003 when I was eleven years old and my dad played me "Anodyne," which my cousin had given him as a gift. I've since gotten into anything Jay Farrar related. I've never heard a voice I like as much as his!
Anyway, I finally decided to post here to let Grifterwithafunnylittleha that this recording is just superb. Great quality, and what a great show! With Spencer on pedal steel, and Masterson sounding better than ever, I would argue that this is the best lineup of musicians Jay has ever worked with. I better be careful what I say though... don't want to get into any fights with a first post.
Great job Grifterwithafunnylittleha.

I'm curious to talk to you about the recordings. It's my evolving understanding of rooms.FunninRound wrote:Thanks!
