Acoustic, why do you consider someone crazy if they don't like something their favorite band puts out? The first three are for the most part flawless. Sebastopol,Thirdshiftgrottoslack,Stone, Steel and Bright Lights and Terroir Blues still get plenty of playing time in my stereo. I put the Six String Belief DVD on the TV when I'm doing my house cleaning chores and crank it up so I can hear it in every room upstairs. But OATMOR just doesn't do it for me. Atmosphere and Bandages and Scars are great songs but that's about it. I only listen to a few songs on The Search now. That doesn't make me "crazy". Just honest.
Crazy indeed.
Lets see. Afterglow 61...yeah! crank it up.
See Bandages and Scars live in a smaller setting and try not to rock ...dig it...Jet Pilot's neat in a perverse way...if you voted for Bush...if you like the way Andrew beats the bass...add Endless War , no moral face to the endless war...gotta dig it if your frustraterd with the ongoing war ...in 2004,2005 ! Atmosphere..cool chord progression. Ipecac,Who...eh...rock the Six String Belief, no question!...Medications different..open C tuning ...I really dig the Chaos Stream alot...Gramophone...try bringing out the G harp and acoustic...schweet! I could do without World Waits for You, written for his kids or Obama...but I have a piano and I play it happily once or twice a week...it sounds nice...the vocals/lyrics threaten our tough guy attitude, like Ipecac, I think
Bottom line is we're spoiled by his catalog, but its a badass album, yeah boy...

Dear M. Truslow,
As you see, there's a peculiar ripple in the fabric among those who frequent this board most often. And that is, they don't like Okemah. They are, of course, crazy.
still be, agreed, 'atmosphere' was also one of the top songs. in fact, oatmor would have worked better imo as an ep vs. a full album with b&s, atmosphere, medication, chaos streams and gramaphone. in fact, i created my own ep with those five songs. sometimes, less is indeed more.
