That's who it was. Ok, so there was really no point to his analogy, now I can sleep better.ShuckOwens wrote:/bump

ESPN has a history with Son Volt. I've heard a few outros of Son Volt tunes at various events. The thing I remember the most however was several years back they we're covering the Jim Valvano V foundation golf tournament in No. Carolina. The singer from Hootie and the Blowfish was playing. On one hole they stuck a camera in his face after a bad shot and he proceeded to sing the chorus from Windfall as the camera followed him down the fairway.
Another quick Son Volt out of nowhere TV plug. They were airing a Charlie Rose interview with Bill Gates recently on PBS. He asks Gates about Microsoft getting their asses kicked by IPOD. As he was answering the question by selling his counter-product (Zune or Zume or something like that) they cut to a shot of a demo of how the thing works. The album cover showing in the screen while the thing is playing is ....Okemah.
It's the little things in life that make me happy.

ESPN was showing a Jermaine O'Neal dunk highlight on
Sportscenter this morning, and the announcer made the following statement:
"Jermaine O'Neal is to the Pacers as Jay Farrar is to Son Volt."
I haven't been to ESPN.com yet, but I am going to look for a replay.

I believe that's the announcer. I couldn't think of his name earlier when I posted.
And really...if I were to fabricate this, it would involve Adam Morrrison and not Jermaine O'Neal.
