I should expect that response here and yes he is great too, but how can anyone deny that Exile is a great record. I guess Let It Be; both the Beatles and 'Mats, London Calling, Harvest and Wreck Your Life all stink as well. This is the craziest thread of the year.
Hey I was just answering your question in a forthright, honest manner. Someone seems a little testy. Not enough time in front of the grill maybe? :P
Fair enough. I don't really get worked up about anything at all. Except maybe this thread. And yes I do need some grill time. I I did a whole chicken last week. Turned out great.

I couldn't tell you the name of one song off that record, although I'm sure I know and have heard songs from it.

So there. I am completely and utterly indifferent. And the sky isn't falling, either! ;)

I wanted to keep off this thread, but I can't take it anymore. This album, hands down, is the greatest album I have or ever will own. It's just that simple.

And is there a better song title than "Turd On The Run"? Exile ... has it all.

Who has written better lyrics?

LOVING CUP
(M. Jagger/K. Richards)

I'm the man on the mountain, come on up.
I'm the plowman in the valley with a face full of mud.
Yes, I'm fumbling and I know my car don't start.
Yes, I'm stumbling and I know I play a bad guitar.

Give me little drink from your loving cup.
Just one drink and I'll fall down drunk.

I'm the man who walks the hillside in the sweet summer sun.
I'm the man that brings you roses when you ain't got none.
Well I can run and jump and fish, but I won't fight
You if you want to push and pull with me all night.

Give me little drink from you loving cup.
Just one drink and I'll fall down drunk.

I feel so humble with you tonight,
Just sitting in front of the fire.
See your face dancing in the flame,
Feel your mouth kissing me again,
What a beautiful buzz, what a beautiful buzz,
What a beautiful buzz, what a beautiful buzz.
Oh, what a beautiful buzz, what a beautiful buzz.

Yes, I am nitty gritty and my shirt's all torn,
But I would love to spill the beans with you till dawn.

Give me little drink from your loving cup.
Just one drink and I'll fall down drunk.

I believe that it was shot in and around the docks of Southampton. I forget who the main character is though.
