Just when I think I 've got my obsession in check, that prolific dreamboat has to go and put out another album and tour incessantly to appealing and convenient venues, and I 'm done for all over again. A vicious (but ever so enjoyable) circle.

One more thing, when the MAN in the black jeans said "My kids love those songs too" it was in that deep, sexy baritone. Swoonalicious.
<giddy!!>
This board is mostly a sausage party (seriously - but these fellows are cool, insightful, absurd and adorable for the most part) and yes - it's nice when the females REPRESENT. I think the majority of the board find Jay to be a fabulous songwriter, guitar player, rocker, alt-country icon, whatever - but SWOOOONING probably escapes them, the poor dears. SO ... yes. There are those of us, adoring females, strategically placed around the world to periodically sneak up on Jay and make him REALLLLLLY uncomfortable. sighhhhh.
It's his fault for embodying sexiness and rockin'ness with all that guitarin' and singing, and big-word using.
HOT.
Jay Farrar is the new Brad Pitt for thinkin' gals, you know?

So dumb, but damn - So true.
It's okay to be silly and obsessed here. You are in good company.

Isn't your son also bigger than Tiny Elvis and one hell of an athlete?

Cutest. Thing. Ever.

And Swoon is right.

Is it safe to assume that you're of female origin? Most 'swooners' are, so - WELCOME!!

My two-year-old won a local Farrar sound-alike contest back in '97 and was invited to fill in for Jay several times during the Straightaways tour when Jay was under the weather.

My kid got a drum kit and his favorite bands are AC/DC, the Ramones and Johnny Cash.

I pick my kid.

My daughter loves Fool Kings Crown and Medicine Hat and requests them. Whenever I have some Jay vehicle playing she says "Hey Mummy, that's Jay Farrar! He loves to sing and play guitar!" I introduced myself to Jay after a show and told him my daughter's favorites and he smiled and said "My kids love those songs too." Swoon.
