I've been hearing Jay or Jeff every time I go into the Chipolte in La Grange, IL, too. I thought the manager just had musical tastes similar to mine. Now that I know it's all Chipotles, I have to wonder who does their programming. Anyone on the board with any insite to the excellent music played at ...

Re: "thythm" guitar?
Okay, I feel stupid even asking, but here goes anyway. I recently bought an album where the credits refere to a "thythm guitar." What the heck is that? Thanks! In all honesty, it sounds like an inside joke that none of us will ever get, unless one of us knows Matthew Sweet. Kinda like Neverwonagram...

cool! thanks for the report--sounds good. did you see any mikes around? would love to hear a recording. One other thing that struck me as kind of funny...during the GI set, JF moved to piano -for Wayside Tavern, I think - and MS picked up a lap steel. JF sees it, shouts "Mark", MS doesn't hear, so ...

For anyone who's interested, I've posted some pics of the show here:

They're not professional like Dev's pics, but this is what I've got.

I don't think it's weird at all. Jay has a history at that festival. He played a show there a few years back when he was touring w/ Mark Spencer. I think it was in 2002 (a few months after I moved to the area). It was the first time I got to see Jay live. Good show! There was a really low quality re...

There's a great yell during the performance of Who at Wakarusa in 2005. When I first heard it, I had to rewind to make sure it was real. The timing is perfect. it almost sounds like it was supposed to be in the song. It was one of the few yells that I think adds to the great feeling of a song. I agr...

Brian and Jeff
Just thought I'd inform all of those who were wondering...Yes, Jeff did show up at the B Rox show tonight and played three songs with the band. The songs were: Walk on (Neil Young), Passenger Side (Wilco), and Casino Queen (Wilco). The songs and the moment were great but should not take away from th...

Sorry I didn't provide much more info. I was thinking that I'd try to memorize some of the words while Jay was playing the song, but opted for just enjoying the moment instead. However, I recall that the song primarily consisted of four chords (G, C, D, Em). I know that's not too useful now but mayb...

To add to Francesca's account. Jay did play another song that wasn't on OATMOR. It was Methamphetamine. I don't know if it's been discussed elsewhere on the board. I can't keep up with all of the prolific writers. One thing that went wrong was that Jay picked up his Gretch Pro Jet electric and start...

For something to sip, I'd have to choose Maker's on ice. For something to drink, I'm a Jack Daniels and Diet Coke fan. Both are carb friendly, too! (except for you phase 1ers) My Jack and Diet recipe... 1 tall glass Fill half way with ice Pour in teh Jack until it reaches the top of the ice Top off ...

Fugazi I love Fugazi but I think of them more as a 90's band since they didn't form untill '87ish. I'm not saying they were the best band of the 90's, but I just don't think of them as the 80's...unless you include Minor Threat, but they were a different band with a different sound. Side note: I'd ...

OATMOR Tabs - Afterglow 61
I've been listening to the new album quite a bit since it's release (and before via live shows) and I'm surprised that all of the songs haven't already been tabbed out. I remember seeing something on Bandages and Scars but that's only one song. I'm a generally a lazy person with regards to this but ...
