This album is fantastic.

Only one other person gives Time Out of Mind a nod....kinda depressing, really.

Jacksonville is the Country Album of the Year.

No matter what thread I go to, Ryan Adams is being hailed.

5 out of 4 stars. This is Alt. Country at it's peak. JCN acheives was Trace, Being There, and El Corazon did at the beginning of alt. country.

I just got back from the show, and man, it was a great one. Jay really does it right for Austin. And I loved how he kinda ribbed his opener, who was very fond of the word "fuck,"when he told the crowd: "He's right. Austin is a great fucking music town." That was hilarious. Man, that was a nice show...

Not only was Jay in fine balls-out rocking form, we got to see a mini-reunion of Canyon! It was great to see the keyboardist back in action! Definitely the best taped performance I've ever seen Jay give. And as far as I'm concerned, Chris Frame is THE Son Volt guitarist now. Brad Rice is great, but...

There is an excellent interview with Jack and Meg in the new Mojo. I figured if people here like Son Volt, chances are they like most great music.
