Nashville Cream review

Kinda lame show review on the Nashville Scene's music blog. The review isn't negative at all, just the reporter didn't stick around for the whole thing. Good pics though.

it was the same as louisville but with the wicked addition of waylon's "lonesome onr'y and mean" as an encore. bobby bare's horn players played on the picture, still don't like that song. i thought it started strong with bandages and scars, lulled during underground dream and exurbia, then picked ba...

Sorry, as a resident I gotta take issue with the comment about Nashville not having a rock scene, it just ain't true. Any night of the week there are tons of great shows going on and a lot of local bands have been making national buzz, Kings of Leon, De Novo Dahl, The Features, Be Your Own Pet, and ...

Can I just say I'm psyched to see Creosote on this list. I love me some Straightaways and that song along with Last Minute Shakedown (wish he was playing it!) are probably my two favorites on that alb. Can't wait for tonight! Say hello to the blue side hangin round...

Dirt Farmer is incredible. I saw Levon at the Ryman this past summer and it was one of the top five concerts I've ever seen, his country funk backbeat cannot be effed with. When he busted into Ophelia the place went nuts! Buy this album (please don't burn) because he needs the money, from what I und...

I live in Nashville and have been a Glossary fan since How We Handle Our Midnights came out in 2003 (I haven't heard the one before that). Both that album and their follow up For What I Don't Become are f-ing incredible and if you like their new one you should definitely seek them out. I think you c...

The reason boiled peanuts are a Deep South thing (and not a northern or Tennessee or Kentucky thing) is that peanuts have historically been grown there. In Alabama and Georgia 'specially. They have been a staple crop for a long time (or at least used to be before globalization of agriculture) and so...

While the reviewer did take these lines out of context and ignored a plethora of good ones on the album, that "guns or education" verse is pretty stinky I think. Jus' sayin,' it's not up to Jay's standards. But whatever I can forgive him.

I love Waking World, but I can see why Coltrane Free was not included on the CD. That synth-sitar-guitar sound is awful and ruins the song for me. Jay has been messing with that sound since Sebastopol and in my opinion it needs to stop. Aside from George Harrison, Ravi Shankar's influence on rock mu...
