More often than not, the Grammys are used as the prime example of how stupid Americans are, by people like our old friend Trellis here. Not this time, though. The Grammys have now become an important indicator of how vocal anti-Bush artists are scoring big, and the country is "waking up". I'm not s...

Absolutely love their latest album. Looking forward to getting something else by these guys. All their albums are great. I love the recurring cast of characters, too. Huh, I never thought much about the characters recurring in their songs. Charlemagne comes to mind. What else you got? Holly and Gid...

Saw the Police at the Arizona State Fair in 1981 with XTC as the opening act. will pay any amount to see them this time around. They are one of the all time greats. It seems solo Sting is just a pretentious pseudo jazz Jaguar salesman, but with the Police he is fantastic and they are just the shit....

the grammys are for music fans who really don't like music. I listen to music about 12 hours a day and even at times leave cd's running while i sleep. people who think the grammys are important to music are the same people who buy there coffee and cd's at the same place. fucking target or starbucks...

If the artist created something, and still controls it, isn't it up to the artist as to how its used? what is the difference between having your song appear on millions of CDs for 30 years (the Rolling Stones) and having it appear in a commercial? The only problem I see is when the artist does not ...

You all are kind of missing the point. If these guys want to work in the ad industry and write commercial jingles, so be it. But if they want to be artists then they really ought not to diminish the value of their work by using it to hock products. This goes beyond just new music, too. Did the Rolli...

http://www.musicbox-online.com/reviews-2006/andersparker-self-titled.html In crafting his latest album, Anders Parker brought Wilco drummer Ken Coomer, Son Volt pedal steel player Eric Heywood, and guitarist Kirk Swan (from Steve Wynn’s band) on board to support him, and the results are exactly wha...

Choctaw Bingo is a great song. Uncle Slayton's got his Texan pride Back in the thickets with his Asian bride He's got a Airstream trailer and a Holstein cow He still makes whiskey 'cause he still knows how Lyrics here. Don't miss the lines about the teenaged second cousins in Daisy Dukes....

Then if Sting's sales went up immensely because he sold his music to Cadilac for a commercial then so did his paycheck. Hopefully. There's nothing wrong with that at all. Artistic value is a great concept but it's really hard to deposit in a checking account and doesn't buy much at the grocery stor...

It would be nice to hear something besides 'The Chevy Spangled Banner'. I can't watch a ballgame without Coug pitching me for a damn truck. I am so mad that he did that. It's a bit of a redundant song anyway...not bad, but typical Mellencamp that does nothing new. Then to turn it into a truck ad un...
