Dylan music very cheap!
Hey I just found this on another site and thought I would pass along this great deal.....I too found it to be skeptical, but if you don't want to click the direct links, you can go to bobdylan.com or sonymusic.com and find it yourself. But you can get: The Bootleg Series Volumes 1-3 for $0.25 Biogra...

untilisayso, I'm with you in that Drag the River brought me to Alt. Country. At first I was into punk and liked bands like Lagwagon and Bad Astronaut, who covered an Armchair Martian Song. So I listened to Armchair Martian and loved the sound. I later heard on DTR and really liked their work. I was ...

This was the first time seeing Son Volt and I thought it was great show. I wasn't sure quite what to expect from him live and I had heard that Jay doesn't say much and that was right on. I have never seen a band fly through their set list as fast as Jay did. Highlights for me were: Damn Shame...espe...

Anodyne is a fucking awesome album. Slate, Chickamauga, Anodyne, 15 Keys, New madrid, Wherever - this album is...it's just...gorgeous. Komets- Don't forget No Depression, especially if you like Still Feel Gone. Great stuff. Oh I won't. I was in Best Buy about a week ago looking around and I thought...

For me, all this stuff is brand new. I bought Anodyne, Still Feel Gone, and March 16-20, 1992 all at the same time. I am thrilled that I discovered Jay's music about six months ago. I love UT's sound, but I must say, I like Jay's songs a lot more than Tweedy's. Don't get me wrong, he has some good o...

I am new to Jay's work also and I have bought the live cd "STONE, STEEL & BRIGHT LIGHTS". I can't speak highly enough about it. To me it is flawless. I bought it because of how well people have rated it even referring to it as one of the best live albums ever. For Son Volt, I recommend "A RETROSPECT...

Welcome to the board, Komets! I'm sure we will do our best to empty your bank account by recommending more and more and MORE music of a "truer sound". I think the next obvious step on your downward spiral should be Richard Buckner (specificially the "Devotion and Doubt" album). Mwahahahaha. Take ca...

Lucky bastard gets all that new Jay to discover and all I get is one stinking album (not the album, it's the fact that there's only one is what stinks). Enjoy. I was you about five years ago and it was a HUGE find. I wonder if he knows about the "falling out" those of us in the family don't like to...

You've got a lot of discovery waiting ahead, two more Son Volt albums, 2 1/2 solo albums and 4 Uncle Tupelo ...

Hey Everyone...
I have been reading this forum for a few months now and I finally decided to join in. First off, I have to say I'm new to Jay Farrar's music and Son Volt and it certainly is a breath of fresh air for me. Before stumbling across Jay's music, I was listenting to punk rock music and bands like Lagwagon...
