Idk what the fuck you all are on, but wilco is a hundred times better than anything jay farrar could do. Tweedy has more soul in his right nut than farrar. Quit being jealous. Jay Bennet(who is no longer in the band unfortunately) has and had more creativity and pushed music farther that anyone in sun volt. I dont get why you like the same played out bs. Wilco is one of the best maybe the best american live bands now. They are masters in the studio.

I am as big, possibly bigger, of a Wilco fan as you or anyone else but this thread is just dumb. Why throw slow pitch softballs to weekend warriors? What's the point? As CC said, welcome and enjoy your reception.

What I can't stand about the Wilco lovers and critics is they think they can do no wrong...like Radiohead. Shit, even Neil Young, Bob Dylan and Springsteen have put out shit intheir storied careers. Is Wilco immune to mediocrity...Sky Blue Sky? I have every Wilco record and have seen them live numerous times, but they don't record gold every time. Funny how Wilco fans are the ones who continually compare the 2 artists. Tweedy will never match anything that Jay created on Still Feel Gone, March, Anodyne, Trace, Straightaways. Period.

Let's see Tweedy write something as kick-ass as Punch Drunk or Route.

I am an unabashed Wilco lover. Even the elevator music. But I don't see how in the world anyone can say that Wilco is "a hundred times better" than Jay/SV. It's apples and oranges. The two creative forces behind the bands, although connected at one time, have gone in two drastically different directions. Probably one of the reasons UT fell apart. Why can't we love both bands? I saw Wilco play live night two nights ago and they were incredible, but when I left the show, I still loved Son Volt too. I just don't really put them head to head. When the two bands released their first albums, the comparisons were inevitable, but please. It's been 15 years. Drop it.
