| Someone in the act/resist PR department (is there a department!?) is doing a good job. Seems to me that TB has got the widest (and best press) of his career. Maybe it was the UT re-releases or the success of Wilco that prompted it but he is definately becoming more widely seen. Particularly like the Sunday Times and the Sunday Independent reviews in the Press Kit. Good stuff. |

| Good point, Stevie. I hadn't really put this publicity go-round in perspective, but I think you are right. He has had write-ups in Paste, Harp, RS, etc already and the disc is only a few weeks old. Let's hope that this continues and he can reach an even broader audience. |

I gotta agree with you. There wasn't any publicity for WST or for Sabastopol. This has gotta be the most PR Jay's had since Staightaways. Nice thing is, other than the RS review, every review has been extremely positive. I would expect we'll see a Conan appearance in the near future. _________________ "Southbound you can taste the weather, feels like home." |

I'm trying to do my (small) part. I keep sending email to KFOG (San Francisco) to get them to play some of Jay's stuff on their "Acoustic Sunrise" show on Sunday mornings. This show caters to singer/songwriter types and sets a nice mellow vibe for Sunday morning. They usually play pretty good stuff, but so far my requests have fallen on deaf ears (jerks). I just know if they played "California" that the phones would be ringing off the hook, people asking "Wow, who was that????" and Jay might win over a bunch of new fans.
Anyway, if anyone wants to help with the email campaign, here's the link:

the link to email is at the bottom.
Thanks in advance! |
